Separated by four oceans, Rose's mother lives on an island near Madagascar. Rose would have put the effort in to check how far away that is from Paris but the island never showed up on any map. She was never allowed to see her mother 'for her own safety' her father would tell her but her father being brutally murdered forces her to move.And on the island lives the devil himself. An evil king, who's wrapped up in more than just the islands affairs. And the island gets a new member, Rose, who instantly finds a journal which opens her eyes to what actually happens here in Olvido but they both have goals.
